What are the 5 Types of Cyber Security?

Cybersecurity can be classified into five main categories, each addressing different aspects of protecting systems, networks, and data:

Endpoint security protects devices such as laptops, smartphones, and servers connected to an organization's network.

Identity and access management (IAM) focuses on managing who has access to an organization's systems, networks, and data and controls what actions they can perform.

These categories are not mutually exclusive, and many cybersecurity solutions overlap across multiple categories. Therefore, organizations must have a comprehensive and integrated approach to cybersecurity that covers all these categories to ensure their systems and data are well protected against cyber threats.
